Teaching

GreenIT : Datacenter

IMT-Atlantique, Nantes

In November with the FIL A3 students, and again in February with the A3-GSI students, I have built courses on the impact of datacenters on energy, environment and society. With practical sessions and using computing resources provided by the Grid'5000 and Seduce platforms, students were able to see the actual energy consumption and energy efficiency of different datacenters components. This course was supervised by Jean-Marc Menaud.

Nov. 2019 and Feb. 2020

Projet de fin d'étude FIL A1

IMT-Atlantique, Nantes

Project supervision for the FIL A1 students. A group of 4 students had to implement a game where the players have to guess a word selected by the computer. Each player can participate through the network. This experience included project supervision and final evaluation.

June 2019

Organisation et utilisation des systèmes d'exploitation 2 (SYR2)

Université de Rennes 1 / ISTIC

Tutorials of the SYR2 course for the L3 INFO Bachelor students in Rennes. The course was about writting C program for the students to get use to pointers, C programming in general and also a section about network sockets. Lectures of this course were given by Guillaume Pierre. They had a project to realize which was about creating an audio server that sends to a client an audio file (in small packets). Beside the network part (using the UDP protocol with their own security layer to imitate the TCP protocol), they implemented audio filters to play with the rendering of the music.

2016 - 2017

Coopération et concurrence dans les systèmes et réseaux (CSR)

Université de Rennes 1 / ISTIC

Tutorials and some of the practical sessions of the CSR course for the first year MIAGE Master students (M1 MIAGE) in Rennes. The lectures of this course were given by Cédric Tedeschi. The course was about synchronization between processes sharing one or many similar resources. Then it switched on network, especially on network sockets and RESTful applications.

Interests

Apart from doing research, I enjoy most of my time being outdoors: gardening and playing with my dog.

When forced indoors, I enjoy cooking and reading books. At nightfall, I play the piano on my own. I mix synthesizer, acoustic piano and MIDI devices. My main sources of inspirations are Nils Frahm, Gogo Penguin and Chilly Gonzales.
